Meet Dr. Fleischman, Podiatrist at Mount Joy Foot & Ankle

Dr. Keith Fleischman

Dr. Keith Fleischman received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physical therapy from the University of Scranton in 1999 and 2000. His physical therapy career began at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was involved with spinal cord rehab, stroke rehab, and outpatient orthopedics.

Dr. Fleischman then became the center manager for an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic from 2002 to 2004. There, he treated athletes and administered sports medicine rehabilitation. He practiced as an active physical therapist for four years before attending Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2004.

While in podiatry school, he was treasurer for the student government and for his class. Dr. Fleishman was also a member of the Sterling Hartford Anatomical Honor Society and Pi Delta Honor Society, and was a four-year Merit Scholar.

Awards received included the Goldfarb Memorial Scholarship, Elmer Harford Memorial Scholarship, Clark Aff Scholarship, and the Allen Forsythe Scholarship. His other activities included volunteering for the Marine Corps Marathon and serving as a guest lecturer for Physical Medicine and Rehab Courses.

After graduating in 2008, Dr. Fleischman completed a four-year surgical residency at Temple University where he received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, arthroscopy, diabetic limb salvage, and pediatric surgery.
